PM Dung requested that the amendments must clearly define functions, tasks and authorities of the Government, especially its coordination with and supervision of State agencies in legislative, executive and judiciary branches.

All contents in the draft amendments on Chapter VII “Government” and Chapter IX “Local Administration” of the Constitution need to collect comments from every Government member, the PM asked.

PM Dung also instructed ministries and agencies to pay due attention to legal and feasible quality and strengthened their coordination during the process of issuing legal documents.

On the day, the Government members listened to the reports on the outcomes of the pilot project of abolishing People’s Councils at district/precinct/ward levels.

Further discussion will continue tomorrow./.
