Forum discusses ways to protect guest workers' rights
VGP – The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affair in coordination with the International Labor Organization co-hosted a national preparatory meeting for the 6th ASEAN Forum on Migrant Labor (AFML) on August 15.

The forum will seek measures to protect the rights of migrant laborers, which are crucial not only for Viet Nam but also for other countries in the region.
In 2012, Viet Nam sent more than 80,000 laborers to work overseas, achieving 80% of the year’s plan. In the first half of 2013, more than 40,000 Vietnamese laborers worked overseas.
With the theme ““Enhancing policy and protection of migrant workers”, the forum will play a crucial role in promoting labor export in Viet Nam and help protect migrant workers’ rights at their workplaces in the host countries./.
