Typhoon Wutip heading toward Central region

VGP - A powerful storm, Wutip, is intensifying and heading toward Central Viet Nam, particularly provinces of Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Ha Tinh and Thua Thien-Hue.

The typhoon, with the packing maximum sustained winds of up to 149kph along with gusts that could reach up to 185kph, is forecast to hit the region within the next 24 hours.

The Central Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control on September 29 urged the relevant provinces to prepare storm prevention and take necessary measures to protect crops and call back fishermen at sea./.
