Plan to implement amended Constitution discussed

VGP - The National Assembly Standing Committee’s members sought how to put the newly-adopted amended Constitution into life in an efficient, economical and practical manner during their December 24 session.

The task also aims to check and adjust the organisational structure, functions, duties and rights of the State agencies in line with the Constitution’ new regulations, Phan Trung Ly, Chairman of the NA Law Committee said.
 
It also examines available legal documents for making prompt adjustments, supplements, abolishment or issuance of new ones in accordance with the Constitution, he noted. 

At the session, NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung’s suggestion of establishing a steering committee in charge of the implementation of the amended Constitution was warmly welcomed. The steering committee is proposed to be headed by a Vice NA Chairman.
Members of the NA Standing Committee agreed to organise an online conference to popularise the implementation of the Constitution as part of effort to make the work effectively and economically. 

According to NA Vice Chairman Tong Thi Phong and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Nguyen Van Pha, the implementation of the document should ensure stability of managerial and executive work across realms in the country.
 
For his part, Chairman of the NA Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc asked for the early compilation and issuance of documents to popularise the Constitution. 

During the session, the NA Standing Committee commented on its draft report to summarise the implementation of the 2001 National Assembly Organisation Law.- VNA
