Spring flower festival opens in HCMC

VGP - The largest Spring Flower Festival was kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City on January 25 to display over 6,000 arrangements from around 700 artisans.

The festival also showcased pieces including flowers, ornamental fish, cactus and bonsai.

Visitors had the opportunity to see foreign blooms and different types of flowers from localities nationwide.

The event also consisted of colorful performances of dragon dances, Don ca tai tu (southern amateur singing), tea culture, photo exhibition and calligraphy demonstrations.  

This is the 34th year the event has been held as part of the city’s cultural and traditional activities and will last on February 5./.
