VGP –  Work started on February 17 on the construction of the Viet Nam-Japan Technology Park, first phase, at the Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park, in Nha Be district, Ho Chi Minh City.

The park will cover a land area of 100 ha with a total investment of US$31 million. The first phase of the project will cost US$7.6 million.

The park looks to attract investment of Japanese businesses into the city.

Up to now, 25 Japanese businesses have registered to operate at the park.

Ho Chi Minh City is encouraging investment into four crucial fields including electronics, pharmaceutical chemistry, mechanics and food processing.
