PM Nguyen Tan Dung made the request at the Government’s April regular meeting in Ha Noi on April 29.

He said that the national socio-economic situation is generally positive but changes are still slow and unstable.

PM Dung asked relevant agencies and ministries to focus on increasing aggregate demand through accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital and other sources and raising credit balance while addressing bad debts and ensuring credit quality.

“Growth and jobs for workers depend on whether the aggregate demand increases or not”, PM Dung stressed.

He also asked for further improvements in the investment and trade environment, more favorable conditions for businesses to access capital sources, stronger reform of administrative procedures and better services from State officials and workers.

The Government leader reminded relevant agencies about realizing the set plan on equitizing enterprises effectively and legally.

He generally agreed with the Ministry of Finance’s suggestion on stabilizing prices of dairy products for children under 6 years old and asked for effective implementation and publicity of this policy.

PM Dung asked ministries, industries and localities to take effective and synchronized measures to ensure social welfares, prevent diseases, maintain political stability and social order and safety.

After hearing reports by the Ministries of Planning and Investment, Health, Culture, Sports and Tourism about most concerned issues, including the socio-economic situation in April and the first four months of the year, disease prevention, particularly measles, and the organization of the fifth Asian Beach Games, Government members raised ideas and suggestions to the issues.

They also heard reports on real estate market; measures to address bad debts and difficulties in production and trade;  the implementation of the 2013 Constitution, laws and ordinances; and draft amendments and supplements to the Law on Vietnamese Nationality and draft law on digital information safety./.
