NGOs train HIV/AIDS control staff in south

VGP - The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the President's Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the Family Health International (FHI) have organized training courses from May 20-22 for HIV/AIDS technical staff in south Viet Nam.

Officials from the health departments and HIV/AIDS prevention and control centers in Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho and An Giang attended the courses.

They were introduced to fundamental concepts on technical assistance and necessary techniques for applying in their jobs.

Non-governmeNam enhance their competence and reduce dependence on international organizations.

Earlier, the courses were held to assist staff working in HIV/AIDS prevention and control in five provinces in the north.
