China maintained about 110-115 ships, including 35-40 coast guard vessels, around 30 cargo vessels and tug boats, 40-45 fishing boats and four warships east and east- south of the rig during the day.

One Chinese jet fighter was found flying around the rig.

The Viet Nam Fisheries Surveillance forces sailed near the Chinese oil rig from 7-9 nautical miles to ask China withdraw its rig out of Viet Nam’s waters.
