VGP – China, a member of the UN Security Council, on Thursday continued circling and cutting off Vietnamese vessels and then retreating in order photograph and film misleading footage.

The move aims to make it look like Chinese ships were being rammed by the Vietnamese vessels, according to the Fisheries Surveillance Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Chinese ships continued to form groups about 7-10 nautical miles around the oil rig Haiyang Shiyou 981 illegally placed in Viet Nam’s waters and stood ready to fiercely prevent, ram and fire water cannons at the Vietnamese vessels, the Department reported.

Besides, some 35 Chinese fishing boats, supported by two coast guards ships, aggressively blocked and disturbed Vietnamese fishing boats right in Viet Nam’s waters.

Despite China’s aggression, the Vietnamese fisheries surveillance and fishing boats persistently stayed at the area to continue their duties and normal activities./.
