VN, RoK step up food processing cooperation

VGP - A seminar was held in Seoul on June 26, attended by a Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai, discussing cooperation in the food processing industry.

About 100 Korean businesses operating in the food processing attended the seminar.

Addressing the event, Vietnamese  ambassador to the RoK Pham Huu Chi highlighted the attractiveness of Viet Nam as an investment destination with its dynamic young highly educated workforce.
 
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai reiterated the Vietnamese Government’s commitments of creating all possible conditions for foreign investors, including those from the Republic of Korea (RoK) in the country.

After the event, the Vietnamese guests will continue promotion activities in other localities across the Republic of Korea.
 
As of June 2014, the RoK ranked second among foreign investors in Viet Nam with 3.827 projects capitalised at US$31.2 billion, primarily concentrated (58.7%) in the manufacturing and processing sectors.
