The State President shared their difficulties, adding that amidst the period of economic recovery, the NA passed bills which forge a legal foundation for enterprises.

Vice Chair of the HCM City Rubber and Plastics Manufacturers Association Tran Viet An reported that over 3,000 plastics enterprises nationwide have to yearly import US$ 6 billion materials, mostly from China.

Raw materials of the textile and garment sector are mainly imported from China, thus the State should make the best use of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement and free trade agreements to develop the auxilary industries, suggested Vice Chairman of the Viet Nam Textile and Apparel Association Pham Xuan Hong.

General Director of the Vina Giay Corporation Vu Van Minh proposed more favourable policies which help domestic businesses produce materials.

In response to the suggestions, the State President asked the business circle to join hands with relevant agencies to soon devise measures to regain the economy’s momentum and ease dependence on imported materials.

At the meeting, President Sang and NA deputies also heard entrepreneurs’ proposals regarding real estates, the gold market and the import of animal feed./.
