VN, Italy boost anti-crime cooperation

The agreement was signed by Italian Minister of the Interior Angelino Alfano and visiting Vietnamese Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang, following their talks in Rome.

During the talks, the two sides agreed to continue negotiations on agreements on judicial assistance, extradition and hi-tech security.

The two ministers noted with satisfaction the recent effective cooperation between the two ministries in fighting crime and agreed on new measures to strengthen this cooperation.

Viet Nam and Italy will soon sign agreements on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, extradition of criminals and prisoners, protection of secret information, and other memoranda of understanding in order to fulfill their commitments.
