VN, Finland enhance cooperation in trade, investment

The PM lauded the cooperative relations between Viet Nam and Finland over the past 40 years, asserting that Finland is looking forward to strengthening multi-faced relations with Viet Nam, especially in trade and investment.

He asserted support for the quick completion of the Viet Nam-EU Free Trade Agreement negotiations and the EU’s recognition of Viet Nam as a market economy.

He highly valued the role of Viet Nam as the coordinator in the ASEAN-EU relations, hoping to accelerate the ASEAN-EU relationship to a higher level.

Deputy PM Hai affirmed that the Vietnamese Government will create favorable conditions for the Finnish businesses to enhance investment and launch long-term operations in Viet Nam.

He welcomed the Finnish Minister of Employment and the Economy’s visit to Viet Nam in October this year, believing that the visit will connect the two nations’ businesses and pave the way for long-term investment.

The Deputy PM thanked the Finnish Government for their assistance and support for the Vietnamese community in Finland.

They agreed to promote the relationship by exchanging delegations at all levels, closely cooperating and supporting each other at multi-lateral forums and international organizations, boosting the signing of some cooperative agreements such as the Air Transport Agreement, the visa exemption Agreement for diplomatic passport holders and the Educational Cooperation Agreement.

They were unanimous in realizing effectively development projects in the cooperative strategy in the phase from 2013-2016.
