VN, China need to enhance political trust

The two countries should also accelerate cooperation mechanisms between ministries and localities as well as people-to-people exchanges, further promote the role of the Steering Committee for Bilateral Cooperation in order to translate the agreements and perceptions reached by the two sides’ senior leaders in to reality, PM Dung said.

The Government chief asked China to create more favorable conditions for Vietnamese goods, including rice to penetrate the Chinese market.

PM Dung stressed that the two countries need to strictly implement the agreements on sea-related issues, especially the Agreement on basic principles guiding the settlement of sea issue through concrete and consistent actions.

He urged the two sides to maintain peace and stability, control differences at sea, frankly and honestly discuss demilitarization of the East Sea, ensure security and safety of navigation and aviation in the East Sea, and ensure safety for fishermen at sea.

The two countries also need to seriously and fully realize the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea and beef up substantial negotiations on the development of a Code of Conduct in the East Sea, PM Dung said.

Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi said the stable and healthy development o the Viet Nam-China ties will benefit both countries. Therefore, the two sides need to enhance high-level meetings and strategic exchanges.

Regarding sea issue, Chinese President Xi said both sides need to control differences well and maintain stability at sea through negotiations.

President Xi affirmed that China supports Viet Nam to have bigger role in the regional and international processes asking the two countries to strengthen coordination at multilateral forums.

He expressed his belief that the Viet Nam-China relations would continue developing well thanks to their agreed common perceptions and joint efforts./.
