Việt Nam reiterates one-China policy

VNGOP – Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lê Dũng reaffirmed the nation’s one-China policy which puts Taiwan as an integral part of China.

Questioned about Việt Nam’s reaction to the March 22 election in Taiwan where Ma Ying-jeou was elected as its head, the spokesman said “Việt Nam persists in the one-China policy”.
“Taiwan is an integral part of China. The Government of the People’s Republic of China is the sole legal Government that represents the entire Chinese people,” FM spokesperson said.
He concluded by highlighting Việt Nam Government’s full support to the cause for a united China and calling for efforts to develop the cross-strait relations, thus contributing to peace and stability in the region.
