ASEAN, Japan ink comprehensive economic partnership
VNGOP – Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Vũ Huy Hoàng singed on behalf of the Vietnamese Government the ASEAN–Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership (AJCEP) Agreement.

AJCEP Agreement marks the close and comprehensive economic ties between ASEAN and Japan |
AJCEP Agreement is an important legal document marking the close and comprehensive economic relationship between ASEAN and Japan in the time to come.
The signing of this document showed the Vietnamese Government’s willingness to join hands with Japan in building a strategic partnership for the sake of peace and prosperity in East Asia.
The AJCEP Agreement, together with the Việt Nam–Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) which is on negotiations, are expected to help make full use of the two sides’ advantages and increase the effectiveness of their bilateral economic cooperation.
The AJCEP Agreement will come into effect in 2008 after all countries concerned complete the approval procedures.
