VN pledges to protect citizens in Turkey

VGP - Deputy PM and FM Pham Binh Minh asked the Vietnamese representative agency in Turkey to ensure absolute safety for Vietnamese nationals in the country.

The order was made in the wake of an attempted military coup in Turkey on late July 15. 

Deputy PM Minh tasked the representative agency to tighten security measures, restrict movements and keep constant contact with the local police and administration to ensure absolute safety for staff members of the Vietnamese Embassy in Ankara and Viet Nam’s trade office in Istanbul, along with all Vietnamese expatriates in Turkey. 

The Deputy PM also asked the agency to ready response plans to protect Vietnamese citizens when necessary./.
