This is a part of the Japanese Panasonic Group’s plan "Global development, global profit, global Panasonic". Both the two factories were built in the Thăng Long Industrial Park in the suburban district of Đông Anh, Hanoi. Their products will serve export.

Panasonic Vietnam is reported to be the first company allowed by the Vietnamese Government to operate in the form of a Parent-Subsidiary Company of a full foreign capital. At present, it has four subsidiary companies in Vietnam.

With this form, Panasonic Vietnam can follow a streamlined business operation in which it can minimize Japanese employees and recruit more Vietnamese talented laborers.
