Japanese businesses to pour US$5 bln in VN

At the meeting between the two leaders in the central city of Da Nang, PM Shinzo Abe asserted to attach importance to the relationship with Viet Nam in realizing policies in the region, expressing his condolences over consequences caused by typhoon Damrey. 

He committed to providing Official Development Assistance for Viet Nam and encouraging more Japanese enterprises to join infrastructure and energy development projects in Viet Nam. 

The Vietnamese State President affirmed to facilitate Japanese businesses' investment in Viet Nam in such areas as energy, high-tech agriculture, auxiliary industry and automobile industry development. 

The two leaders agreed to promote Viet Nam-Japan intensive strategic partnership in the future. Regarding the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Agreement, the two sides consented to closely coordinate with other members to soon realize the TPP. 

They were unanimous in maintaining high-ranking visits, improving the effectiveness of dialogue mechanisms, enhancing exchanges between ministries, agencies and localities, especially on the occasion of the 45^th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties. 

Both sides exchanged issues of international and regional concerns, including nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula, the East Sea issue and affirming to support each other at international and regional forums. 

They agreed to address disputes with peaceful measures in line with the international regulations, including the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea 1982 and fully respecting diplomatic and legal procedures.
