He asked the province to develop the processing industry and other production and service areas, with the aim of balancing its local budget by 2020.
The Government leader assigned related ministries and agencies to propose measures and policies to facilitate the province, including ones for enterprises investing in border areas.
He assigned the Ministry of Transport to coordinate with the province to enhance the realization of Ho Chi Minh City-MocBai expressway project and agreed to assign the province to invest in Go Giau-Tay Ninh-Xa Mat highway.
Tay Ninh Province shares 240 km of border lines with Cambodia. The province is regarded as a curial gateway between Viet Nam and Cambodia, Thailand, key economic areas in the South and the Mekong Delta region.
In the first half of 2018, the province’s GRDP growth reached 7.7%. Its GDP per capita attained US$2,400 in 2017.

At the meeting, the PM highly appraised the sugarcane farm for applying machine-based production model and the fourth industrial revolution’s achievements, which help increase capacity and effectiveness, meeting the domestic and foreign demands.
The State will continue paying heed to the sugarcane sector, focusing on preventing smuggling and trade fraud, asserted the PM, asking Tay Ninh Province’s authorities to facilitate the operation of the sugarcane farm.
The Government will create a favorable business environment for long-term investors to uphold their forces and protect legitimate rights for investors, including ones operating in sugarcane, he added.
He assigned the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to boost high-tech agricultural production and form value chain in the sugarcane sector with larger scale, more modern and competitive models.
