PM attends conference promoting investment in Quang Binh province
VGP – A conference promoting investment in the central province of Quang Binh took place in Dong Hoi city on August 27 in the presence of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc; delegates from ministries, sectors, localities, embassies, commercial banks, credit institutions and international organizations; and representatives from over 700 corporations, groups and businesses.

The event offers an occasion for investors to seek opportunities for business and investment cooperation in Quang Binh, which has much room for development for its strategic position on the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC).
The province has developed a relatively favorable transport system, including roadway, railway, the Dong Hoi International Airport and the Hon La Seaport. Particularly, Quang Binh has the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site, covering more than 123,000 hectares and consisting over 300 caves formed 400 million years ago.

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Huu Hoai, stated that with a motto of “cooperation for mutual development”, Quang Binh will do its utmost, stand by and create the most favorable conditions for investors to make effective and sustainable business in the province.
At the conference, the provincial authorities plan to grant investment registration certificates and minutes of investment cooperation agreement to 66 projects totally worth VND162.25 trillion (US$7.05 billion).
