Especially, Ngoc Linh ginseng is indigenous to the Ngoc Linh mountains in the provinces of Kon Tum and Quang Nam. It has many uses and features that are superior to other ginseng species. Kon Tum has now developed geographical indications for Ngoc Linh ginseng root products to nearly 17,000 hectares in nine communes of Tu Mo Rong and Dak Glei districts.

In the framework of the conference, from September 4 to 7, Kon Tum province organizes a first-ever exhibition on Kon Tum Ngoc Linh ginseng and other medicinal herbs, with more than 20 booths displaying over 200 items, including raw medicinal materials and products made of medicinal materials  from enterprises in and outside the province.

According to the Kon Tum provincial leaders, the aforementioned events aim to implementing the tasks and solutions for the development of the medicinal material industry pursuant to the Prime Minister's conclusion at a national video conference on the development of Vietnamese medicinal materials, held in Lao Cai province in 2017.
