Southern industrial zones draw US$15 b and VND 66,181 b
VNGOVNet - The country's Southern Key Economic Area currently has 46 industrial parks (IPs) with the average occupation percentage of 72.3%.

As of late October 2006, the area, covering eight centrally-administered cities and provinces, was still leading the country in drawing foreign investment through 66 IPs and export processing zones covering a total area of 16,423 ha.
There are 3,033 projects, including 1,801 with foreign investment, operating in these zones with a total investment capital of US$ 15.087 billion and VND 66,181 billion and staff of 554,000 employees.
