Mr. Chris Rooney, Senior Vice Chairman of the AT&T Group described Vietnam as an attractive market to enlarge its service network.

At present, AT&T is providing services to its customers in Vietnam through roaming services and interconnection with domestic telecom carriers. The collaboration between AT&T and Viettel is set to further improve these services as AT&T will link Vietnam to its global AT&T network and offer their multinational enterprises operating in Vietnam advanced, consistent services of good quality and high reliability. The initial services include Virtual Private Networking (VPN) and Frame Relay and more will be added in the future.

The AT&T and Viettel cooperation is also expected to boost investment in global telecom-dependent industries and provide a catalyst for further cooperation between the international and domestic business communities.
