Dong Nai's FDI inflows surpass set goal

VGP - The southern province of Dong Nai attracted US$1.02 billion in foreign direct investment in the first six months this year, or 102% of the target set for the whole year and 8.03% higher than the figure of the same period last year.

Dong Nai completes FDI attraction target

According to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment, among the total volume, 48 projects were new with a combined registered capital of US$514 million, and 512 operational projects added US$512.3 million to their existing capital.

The projects are those of high technology, environmentally friendly and suitable to the province’s investment attraction policy, said the Department.

Major new FDI projects include those from the Republic of Korea with investment capital amounting to US$100 million.

Dong Nai is home to investors from 43 countries and territories, led by the Republic of Korea, Taiwan (China), and Japan.

So far, Dong Nai province has attracted a total of 1,420 FDI projects with a combined capital of nearly US$29.6 billion.
