August 20, 2019 3:49 PM GMT+7

The promotional tickets are up for grabs during 3 golden days from August 20-22, 2019 at the website www.vietjetair.com & Vietjet Air mobile app.

The flight period is from December 6 to March 28 (excluding public holidays). These first direct flights between two countries will save passengers a lot of time and money.

Vietjet Air will have four flights per week on HCM City-New Delhi route. The first flight will take off on December 6 at 7 pm in HCM City and will land in New Delhi at 10.50 pm. The flight from New Delhi to HCM City is estimated to take off at 11.50 pm and land at 6.10 am.

Three return flights a week will service the Ha Noi - New Delhi route, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, starting from December 7. Flights depart Ha Noi at 7.10pm and arrive in New Delhi at 10.50pm. The return leg takes off from New Delhi at 11.50pm and lands in Ha Noi at 5.20am (all local times).

Both direct air routes will help cut traveling time between the two countries from 15 to five hours, opening up opportunities for boosting bilateral economic and tourism cooperation.

India is one of Viet Nam's top 10 trading partners. Bilateral trade reached $10.69 billion last year, a two-fold increase against 2016, according to Viet Nam's Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The number of Indian tourists to Viet Nam remains low compared to other Asian countries like China and the Republic of Korea, with only 130,000 arrivals in 2018. But the year-on-year growth last year was 30%.
