VN’s National Day marked in Malaysia

Vietnamese Ambassador to Malaysia Le Quy Quynh speaks at the ceremony

Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Malaysia Le Quy Quynh summarized the achievements Viet Nam has made in more than 30 years of innovation and international integration.

Viet Nam is a friend and a reliable partner of more than 180 countries. It is also a dynamic, responsible member of regional and world organizations, and a favouritedestination for investors and international visitors.

The ambassador hailed the progress in Viet Nam-Malaysia ties, especially after the two countries elevated their relations to a strategic partnership in 2015. 

He said the two countries are working to raise bilateral trade value to US$15 billion in 2020 under their signed plan of actions, while preparing a plan of actions for the next period. 

Addressing the ceremony, Minister of Primary Industries Teresa Kok Suh Sim congratulated Viet Nam and the Vietnamese Ambassador on the occasion of the National Day, and hoped that the relations between the two countries will continue to develop more strongly in the future.
