DPM proposes Guangdong province facilitate import of VN’s products

VGP – Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung proposed Guangdong province continue facilitating the entry of Vietnamese enterprises and products, enhancing the imports of Viet Nam’s advantageous commodities, such as rice, fruits and milk during his meeting with Vice Governor of Chinese Guangdong province Ouyang Weimin on August 27.

At the meeting, Dung asserted that Viet Nam expects to boost friendship cooperation between ministries, agencies and localities and Guangdong province.

In 2018, the trade value between Viet Nam and the province hit US$37.16 billion, up 34.2% and accounting for 25.1% of the two nations’ trade turnover. 

The Deputy PM proposed upholding the role of meetings on reviewing the cooperation between Viet Nam’s ministries and localities and the province in coordinating cooperative areas and strengthening delegation exchanges at all levels. 

He asked the two sides to continue accelerating cooperation in economic, trade and investment, calling on big and prestige enterprises in Guangdong province to pour investment in Viet Nam. 

For his part, Ouyang Weimin confirmed that Guangdong attaches importance to the cooperative ties in all sectors with Viet Nam and facilitates Viet Nam’s products to penetrate into the province, willing to boost people-to-people exchange and cooperation in culture, education and science with Viet Nam.
