Trade deficit with China hits nearly US$28 bln in nine months

VGP – Viet Nam’s excess of imports over exports with China hit US$27.75 billion over the recent nine months of 2019, according to the statistics of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Viet Nam’s excess of imports over exports with China hits US$27.75 billion over the recent nine months of 2019.

As of the end of the third quarter of 2019, Viet Nam-China trade value was estimated at US$83.25 billion.

Viet Nam’s exports to China decreased by 3.8% compared to the same period last year, reaching US$27.75 billion while the nation spent US$55 billion for importing commodities  from China, up 17.3%. 

Viet Nam mainly imports machines, equipment, tools, computers, electronics, phones and spare parts from China and exports computers, electronics, phones and farm products to the neighboring country.
