Japanese cherry blossom festival slated for next March

VGP - The 5th Ha Noi cherry blossom festival will be held from March 27-30, 2020 according to representatives of the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The 2020 edition will include many activities bearing both Vietnamese and Japanese identities

Visitors will have a chance to watch and take photos with Japanese cherry blossoms and some special Vietnamese flowers in Ly Thai To Garden in Hoan Kiem .

The 2020 edition will include many activities bearing both Vietnamese and Japanese identities. Visitors will have a chance to enjoy the beauty of the Japanese typical flower and try their hands on the country’s tea ceremony, kimono traditional dress, calligraphy, photos of festivals and landscapes, along with technology applications in service of the daily life.

The festival also features many cultural activities such as Japanese tea ceremony, chess, Yosakoi (a unique style of Japanese dance typically performed at festivals and events), and folk games. They will be held along with Vietnamese traditional arts.

Within the framework of the festival, many conferences will be held to promote investment and tourism between Ha Noi and Japan.

The annual event is aimed to introduce the culture of Japan to Hanoians, thus enhancing the relationship between the two countries’ peoples and promoting cooperation in multiple fields.
