Viet Nam-Russia Expo underway

VGP – Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung attended the opening ceremony of the Viet Nam-Russia Expo on November 14 in Ha Noi.

The event drew the attendance of Minister-Chairman of the Office of the Government Mai Tien Dung, Russian Ambassador to Viet Nam Konstantin Vnukov, and Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Sergey Anatolievich Tsyb.

The expo was held on the occasion of the 102th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution (November 7, 1917-November 7, 2019).

Addressing the event, Deputy PM Dung praised the expo which drew the participation of a large number of respective businesses in energy, healthcare, construction, and high-tech farming. 

This was the first time 22 Vietnamese provinces and cities introduced their potentials, advantages, and investment incentives. On the other hand, the Russian side contributed nearly 200 booths from over 150 enterprises.

According to Deputy PM Dung, Viet Nam is willing to welcome and import agricultural and industrial products which Russia has strength such as energy, petroleum exploitation, industrial equipment, automobile production and spare parts, mining, production materials, and high-tech products. 

He hoped that Russia would create favorable ways for Vietnamese enterprises to seek investment opportunities in Russia especially in agriculture, food processing, IT, consumption production, service, real estate, and mining. 

The Deputy PM also affirmed that Viet Nam would create the best conditions for Russian partners to do long-term business here. 

In reply, Russian Ambassador to Viet Nam  Konstantin Vnukov was convinced that the expo would offer favorable ways for the two sides to boost good exchanges; seek new types of cooperation./.
