TechDemo 2019 was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Gia Lai administration under the theme “Technology connection, catch up with the fourth industrial revolution.”

Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung said that TechDemo aimed to promote technological application, transfer, and renovation for enterprises and organizations in the South Central Coast and the Central Highlands Region; raise product competitiveness; and create favorable ways for scientists to apply their researches in business production.

Addressing the event, Deputy PM Binh highly praised the organization of TechDemo 2019 in Gia Lai.

He stated that Viet Nam’s technological development remains limited, therefore, ministries, agencies and local authorities need to fine-tune the legal framework for technological application and enhance the national innovation system with enterprises at the core, encouraging the creativity of the people.

The Deputy PM called upon universities and research institutes to play a greater role in creating an innovative workforce, supporting enterprises to receive transferred technologies and improvements in the organization of tech markets and tech trading centers.

TechDemo 2019 will run until November 26 and is the largest event ever held, with a wide range of activities combining technology demonstrations with technological investment promotion./.
