Foreign visitors to VN in November sets new record

VGP – The number of foreign visitors to Viet Nam in November set a new record of 1.8 million ones, raising the total number of foreign arrivals to the country in 11 months to nearly 16.3 million, a year-on-year increase of 15.4%, according to the General Statistics Office.

Foreign arrivals from key markets such as China, the Republic of Korea, Japan and Chinese Taipei to Viet Nam see high growths of 15.1%, 22.3%, 15.4% and 30.2%, respectively over the recent 11 months of 2019.

In the reviewed period, foreign visitors travelled to Viet Nam by air, road and sea were estimated at 13 million, 3 million and 232,400, up 14.1%, 21.4% and 13.7%, respectively. 

The number of arrivals from Asia made up 79.6% and saw a year-on-year increase of 18.2% with nearly 13 million ones. Visitors from Europe, the Americas and Africa were recorded with 2 million, 892,000 and 43,000 ones, respectively.
