VN welcomes efforts to re-start Middle East peace process

VGP – Viet Nam closely follows the situation in the Middle East and welcomes all efforts to re-start the Middle East peace process, said Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang.

The Spokesperson made that statement on January 31 in reply to reporters’ questions about Viet Nam’s reaction to the U.S. peace plan: Peace to Prosperity: A Vision to Improve the Lives of the Palestinian and Israeli People.

“We suppose that a fair and sustainable solution to this issue can only be reached through dialogue and negotiations between related parties on the basis of respect for international law and related resolutions of the United Nations,” Hang said.
