47 localities further delay school reopening

VGP – As of 5:45 pm on Friday, as many as 47 out of 63 provinces and cities in Viet Nam have decided to postpone reopening of schools at all levels for another one week amid novel coronavirus outbreak.

They include Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Dong Thap, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Lai Chau, Vinh Phuc, An Giang, Hau Giang, Kien Giang, Tra Vinh, Soc Trang, Hai Duong, Ha giang, Vinh Long, Yen Bai, Thanh Hoa, Thua Thien-Hue, Lao Cai, Long An, Binh Dinh, Binh Phuoc, Gia Lai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Can Tho, Hoa Binh Quang Tri, Thai Binh, Quang Ninh, Tuyen Quang, Bac Giang, Quang Nam, Nam Dinh, Tay Ninh, Bac Lieu, Hai Phong, Lam Dong, Hung Yen, Phu Yen, Dak Lak, Bac Ninh, and Ben Tre.

Schools in the aforesaid localities will resume on February 16, according to the Ministry of Education and Training.

Earlier, Khanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Dien Bien, and Nghe An had decided to delay school reopening until further announcement.
