Officials urged to consider canceling foreign trips

VGP – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies and Chairmen of provinces and cities to consider cancelling visits to foreign countries amid complicated developments of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Over the weekend, Viet Nam has confirmed 14 new COVID-19 infection cases, bringing the total patients to 30, of whom 16 had been cleared of the virus and discharged from hospitals.

All of the newly-detected cases were on the same flight VN0054 with Ha Noi’s first infection case, a 26-year old woman who returned to the capital city from the UK on March 2.

The new cases include 9 foreigners, with 7 from the UK, one from Mexico and one from Iceland, aged between 58-74./.
