COVID-19 infection tally hits 134, including 31 foreign nationals

VGP - The Ministry of Health has confirmed 11 more COVID-19 infection cases, including three foreign nationals, raising the total number of patients to 134.

All of the current 117 patients have been confirmed since March 6 and they include a frontline doctor and 31 foreign nationals

Patient 124 is a 52-year old man from Brazil, living in District 2 in Ho Chi Minh City.

He works for Gia Dinh Shoes Company which has two branches in Vinh Cuu District of Dong Nai Province and HCMC's District 2.

Everyday, he travelled between the two branches and visited café and Vincom Center in District 2 without using facemask.

On March 14, he went to Buddha Bar and was taken to a centralized quarantine facility in District 9 on March 22. He is being treated at the Cu Chi field hospital.

Patient 125 is a South African woman, aged 22, living in District 7. Upon learning that the city was tracing those who had travelled to Buddha Bar where previously announced patients visited, she went to District 7 Medical Center on March 22 to report her visit to the Bar.

She is being treated at a quarantine facility in Can Gio District.

Patient 126 is a 28-year old man from South Africa, who is friend of the patient 125.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said on Monday that "the next 10-15 days will be “decisive” for Viet Nam’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic".

On March 22, he went to District 7 Medical Center to report on her visits to the Buddha Bar and his friend's house.

He is being treated at a quarantine facility in Can Gio District.

Patient 127 is a 23-year old man residing in Tan Phu District in Ho Chi Minh City.

He worked as a waiter at the aforesaid Buddha Bar. On March 16, he got fever and did not go to work but he went to several places for eating.

On March 21, he came to a medical station to report his contacts with guests at Buddha Bar and was instructed to self-isolate at home.

On March 22, he was taken to a centralized quarantine facility in Tan Phu District and has been treated at the Cu Chi field hospital.

Patient 128 is a 20-year old male student from Le Chan District of the Northern city of Hai Phong. He landed in Noi Bai International Airport on March 20 on flight VN0054 from the UK.

Upon his arrival, he was diagnosed for COVID-19 by the Ha Noi Center for Disease Control and then transferred to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi's Dong Anh District.

Patient 129 is a 20-year old male student from Ha Noi. He was a passenger on flight VN0054 from the UK to Ha Noi on March 20.

Upon his arrival, he was diagnosed for COVID-19 by the Ha Noi Center for Disease Control and then transferred to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi's Dong Anh District.

He is being treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi's Dong Anh District.

Patient 130 is a 30-year old man from Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. He travelled from Spain to Ha Noi on March 22 after transiting in Russia.

Upon his arrival, he was taken to a centralized quarantine facility in the Northern province of Bac Giang.

He is being treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi's Dong Anh District.

Patient 131 is a 23-year old man from Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. He also travelled from Spain to Ha Noi on March 22 after transiting in Russia.

Upon his arrival, he was taken to a centralized quarantine facility in the Northern province of Bac Giang.

He is being treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi's Dong Anh District.

Patient 132 is a 25-year old woman from Long Bien District, Ha Noi. She flew from Spain to Ha Noi on March 22 on the same flight SU290 with the patients 130 and 131.

She is being treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi's Dong Anh District.

Patient 133 is a 66-year old woman from Tan Phong District of the Northern province of Lai Chau. She had gone to Ha Noi-based Bach Mai Hospital for treatment in March.

On March 22, she got fever on her way home and was diagnosed with the virus by Lai Chai Center for Disease Control the following day.

She is being treated at the province's General Hospital with her health reportedly in stable condition.

Patient 134 is a 10-year old child from Thach That District, Ha Noi. He landed in Ha Noi on March 18 on flight SU290.

Upon his arrival, he was taken to a centralized quarantine facility in Thanh Hoa Province and then transferred to the locality's Bim Son general hospital for treatment.

Of the total infection cases confirmed so far in Viet Nam, 118 cases have been reported since March 6. As many as 17 patients have recovered and exited hospitals./.
