Five more COVID-19 infection cases confirmed, total rises to 174

VGP - The Ministry of Health has confirmed 5 more COVID-19 infection cases in Viet Nam, bringing the nation's patient tally to 174.

Patient 170 is a 27-year old man residing in Kim Son District of Ninh Binh Province.

On March 20, the man and his uncle accompanied his father from Ninh Binh General Hospital to the Emergency Department of Ha Noi’s Bach Mai Hospital.

He returned to Ninh Binh on March 22 and got fever on the same day and was taken to Kim Son District General Hospital the following day.

Patient 171 is a 19-year old female student residing in Ward 11, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City.

She flew from the US to Viet Nam on March 13 after transiting in the Philippines and did not show the disease symptoms upon her arrival.

Patient 172 daughter-in-law of a previously announced COVID-19 patient (No. 23).

Patient 173 s a Vietnamese woman who has been working and living in Moscow, Russia. She returned to Viet Nam on March 25.

Patient 174 is a Vietnamese woman working at the dining room of Ha Noi’s Bach Mai Hospital.

Of the total infection cases in Viet Nam, 21 have recovered and exited hospitals, according to the Ministry of Health.

In a bid to contain spread of the virus, the Government decided to ban gatherings of more than 20 people, suspend non-essential services from March 28 to April 15./.
