These two flights have been sponsored by the German Government and Federal Foreign Office under the approval of the Vietnamese Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The flight taking off on April 8 from Viet Nam transported medical equipment as a gift of the Vietnamese Government and people for five European nations namely Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the UK to support these countries to fight COVID-19.

Passengers have their body temperature checked and fill in medical declarations before getting aboard. They are recommended to wear face masks during the flight in order to prevent Covid-19 infection.

The return flights will only transport cargo without any passengers. Disinfection of aircraft will be immediately implemented right after the airplanes land in Viet Nam.

These flights are significant to German and European passengers who have been stranded in Viet Nam as usual flights from Viet Nam to other nations have been temporarily halted due to the spread of COVID-19.
