Six more patients cleared of COVID-19, total recovered patients increase to 222

VGP – Six more patients have been cleared of COVID-19 and discharged from hospitals, raising the tally to 222, making up 83%, according to the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

All the latest recovered patients have been treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi's Dong Anh District and will continue home isolation and be monitored for the next 14 days.

Patient 184 is a 42-year old woman from Phuc Yen District of the northern province of Vinh Phuc, hospitalized on March 28.

She landed in Noi Bai International Airport on March 25 on flight SU290 from Russia.

Patient 215 is a 31-year old employee of the Truong Sinh Company, hospitalized on March 30.

Patient 216 is a 48-year old woman returning to Ha Noi from Germany on March 23 on flight SU290, hospitalized on March 31.

Patient 227 is a 31-year old man, residing in Long Bien, Ha Noi, hospitalized on April 1.

He had been in close contact with his mother who had been confirmed the 209th COVID-19 patient in Viet Nam.

Patient 246 is a 33- year old man from Yen Thanh District of the central province of Nghe An.

He had been a cook in Moscow, Russia and returned to Viet Nam on March 25 on flight SU290.

He was immediately taken to a centralized quarantine facility in Ha Noi’s Thach That District upon his arrival.

Patient 266 is a 36-year old woman from Ha Noi’s Thuong Tin District, hospitalized on April 14.

From March 8-10, she took care of her mother at the functional rehabilitation department of Bach Mai Hospital in the capital city.

As of April 22, Viet Nam has confirmed 268 COVID-19 infection cases, including 160 imported cases, accounting for 59.7%.

 No new infection case has been reported over the past six days.

As many as 67,022 people have been isolated, including 358 at hospitals, 18,263 at centralized camps, and 48,401 at places of residence.
