VN confirms 17 new imported cases of COVID-19

VGP - The National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control has confirmed 17 new COVID-19 infection cases, raising the patient tally to 288.

All of them are Vietnamese who were sent to a centralized quarantine camp in the Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu right after returning from the United Arab Emirates, the committee said.

They are among 297 passengers on Viet Nam Airlines' flight VN0088 and being treated at the Bac Lieu General Hospital.

Three of them are members of the same family who had lived with a COVID-19 patient in Dubai, according to the committee.

Patient 272 is a 58-year old man.

Patient 273 is a 30-year old woman.

Patient 274 is a baby boy who was born in 2020.

Patient 275 is a 33-year old man.

Patient 276 is a 36-year old man.

Patient 277 is a 22-year old woman.

Patient 278 is a 50-year old woman.

Patient 279 is a 20-year old man.

Patient 280 is a 29-year old woman.

Patient 281 is a 30-year old woman.

Patient 282 is a 37-year old woman.

Patient 283 is a 20-year old woman.

Patient 284 is a 30-year old woman.

Patient 285 is a 30-year old woman.

Patient 286 is a 23-year old woman.

Patient 287 is a 28-year old man.

Patient 288 is a 32-year old woman.

The latest patients brought the total number of imported cases to 148.

At present, as many as 20,942 people are being quarantined in different facilities across Viet Nam, including 169 at hospitals, 6,469 at centralized camps, and 14,304 at places of residence./.
