Two more patients cleared of COVID-19, total increases to 266

VGP – The National Hospital for Tropical Diseases announced Thursday that two more patients have been cleared of COVID-19, raising the total recovered cases in Viet Nam to 266.

The pair, including a relapsed case (patient 188), will continue to be medically monitored over the next two weeks.

The relapsed case is a 44-year old woman from Ha Noi’s Chuong My District while the other is a 60 year-old woman from Me Linh District, hospitalized on April 12.

Viet Nam has gone 35 days without new community infection of COVID-19, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control said Thursday afternoon.

Of the total confirmed patients so far, 184 are imported cases who were quarantined immediately after arriving in Viet Nam.

The nation is medically monitoring 12,987 people who had been in close contact with positive cases or returned from foreign countries, including 307 at hospitals, 7,633 at centralized quarantine camps and 5,047 at places of residence, said the committee./.
