COVID-19 update: More people medically monitored, complacency not allowed

The total included 266 at hospitals, 7,726 at centralized quarantine camps and 6,752 at places of residence.

The increase resulted from incoming flights carrying Vietnamese citizens from foreign countries and territories over the past days.

The Committee also reported that there were no new COVID-19 infection case this morning, which means Viet Nam has gone 36 days with no new communnity infection of COVID-19.

The country’s patient tally remains unchanged at 324, including 148 imported cases who were immediately quarantined right upon their arrrivals.

The current active cases are being treated at nine central and provincial medical facilities, said the committee. Of the figure, 25 patients are being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi.

British patient 91, who is the sickest case in Viet Nam, was transferred to the Cho Ray Hospital for further treatment after more than two-month treatment at the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

As the pandemic is evolving complicated around the world, the steering committee warned that Viet Nam has not won COVID-19 fight, thus complacency is not allowed./.
