Six more patients cleared of COVID-19, total rises to 278

VGP – Six more patients have been cleared of COVID-19, raising the total recoveries in Viet Nam to 278, making up 85%, the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh District, Ha Noi said early Wednesday.

These patients will be isolated and medically monitored in the next 14 days.

Patient 19 is a 64-year-old woman, residing in Ba Dinh District, Ha Noi. Hospitalized on March 6, she is the most critical case in Viet Nam.

After 80-day treatment, she has been at stable health condition, with no fever and cough.

Patient 52 is a 24-year-old woman in Ha Long, Quang Ninh Province. She was positive for COVID-19 again and rehospitalized on May 11.

Patient 291 is a 24-year-old man in Dong Hoa, Phu Yen Province.

Patient 295 is a 26-year-old man in Long Dien, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.

Patient 308 is a 42-year-old man, a native in Hai An, Hai Phong City.

All these three COVID-19 infection cases were admitted to the hospital on May 17.

Patient 324 is a 18-year-old male student returning from the U.S., hospitalized on May 18.

Among 327 COVID-19 infection cases in Viet Nam so far, 187 imported cases were sent for medical quarantine upon their arrivals. As of early May 27, the nation entered 41st day without new COVID-19 infection case in the community.

As many as 9,797 people are being put under medical surveillance, including 55 at hospitals, 7,535 at centralized quarantine camps, and 2,150 at places of residence, said the Ministry of Health./.
