Viet Nam National University in Ha Noi makes debut in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Top 50 Under 50 2021 for the first time.

The QS, an education organization based in the UK, announced on June 24 that the Viet Nam National University in Ha Noi and the Viet Nam National University in Ho Chi Minh City have been named in the 101st to 150th group.

This marks the first time that the Viet Nam National University in Ha Noi made debut in the list.

Last year, the Viet Nam National University in Ho Chi Minh City was the only Vietnamese representative to enter the QS Top 50 Under 50 2020.

Originally published in 2012, the QS Top 50 Under 50 allows some of the world's top young universities to shine and since 2015 has tripled its range to include the Next 100 Under 50.

The QS ranking is one of the three most prestigious lists in terms of university rankings globally, alongside China’s Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities and the UK’s Times Higher Education rankings.

Earlier this month, these two universities were named in the world’s top 801-1000 by the QS World University Rankings 2021 – QS WUR 2021.
