225 Vietnamese citizens in Japan repatriated

Passengers on the flight included children under 18, the elderly, pregnant women, people with sickness, workers with expired labor contracts without residence, students without residence due to the disclosure of the dormitories and other disadvantaged cases. 

The Vietnamese Embassy in Japan sent officials to support the Vietnamese citizens right at the airport. 

To ensure health for citizens and prevent the transmissions of the virus, the airlines strictly implemented precautious measures during the flight. 

After landing at Da Nang international airport, all passengers and crew members have been sent for medical quarantine and isolated as regulated. 

This is the 33nd repatriation flight arranged since April 24, transporting about 8,057 passengers from foreign countries and territories, official data showed.

As of early July 1, Viet Nam has entered the 76th day without recording any new COVID-19 infection case in the community. 

As many as 215 imported cases were sent for medical quarantine upon their arrival. 

Among 355 COVID-19 patients in Viet Nam, 335 have been cleared of the virus and recovered, making up 94.4%.
