VN goes three months without new COVID-19 community infection

VGP – It has been three months since the last community-transmitted case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Viet Nam, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control said Wednesday morning.

As of 6:20am, the country’s patient tally remained unchanged at 373, including 233 imported cases.

Among the total, 352 patients have been cleared of the virus, accounting for 94.4%, the committee said.

The nation is putting 12,337 people under medical surveilance in a bid to prevent community transmission of the virus. The figure includes 79 at hospitals, 11,855 at centralized quarantine camps, and 403 at places of residence./.
