Eight Russian experts confirmed having COVID-19 in Viet Nam

VGP – Eight experts from Russia have been confirmed infected with COVID-19 in Viet Nam, bringing the patient tally to 381, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Patient 374 is a 35-year old man.

Patient 375 is a 51-year old man.

Patient 376 is a 35-year old man.

Patient 377 is a 32-year old man.

Patient 378 is a 35-year old man.

Patient 379 is a 31-year old man.

Patient 380 is a 30-year old man.

Patient 381 is a 55-year old man.

They are among 69 passengers onboard the flight IO4405, landing at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on July 11 and have been quarantined at a centralized facility in Vung Tau city of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.

All the passengers showed no symptoms of the disease but they were tested immediately upon arrival, the committee said.

It has been three months since the last community-transmitted case of COVID-19 in Viet Nam. Among the total confirmed patients, 241 are imported cases.

As many as 353 patients have been cleared of the virus as of 6:10 pm on Wednesday./.
