One more returnee confirmed infected with Covid-19, total rises to 417
VGP – A 5-year old girl returning from Russia was confirmed the latest Covid-19 case, raising the country’s patient tally to 417, the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control reported Saturday afternoon.

She was among passengers onboard the flight VN5062 that landed at the Can Tho International Airport on July 9.
The girl tested negative for the virus on July 10 and 16. On July 24, her sample was sent to the Ho Chi Minh City Pasteur Institute and the result turned up positive the following day.
At present, she is being treated at the General Hospital in Bac Lieu Province where she has been quarantined upon arrival.
Earlier in the morning, Acting Miniser of Health Nguyen Thanh Long confirmed that a male resident in Da Nang City became the 416th Covid-19 case, ending more than three-month streak of no community transmission in the Southeast Asian nation.
